This building as 336 Park Avenue (which we blogged about mid-construction) is wedged into an odd-shaped lot right next to the BQE, not ideal conditions to be sure. The architects Coggan + Crawford have done something interesting with it though (especially when compared to its neighbor at 326 Park Avenue). Interestingly, the DOB permit says it’ll only be a single family home, which is surprising as the location feels better-suited to a rental than an owner-occupied building. What do you think of it?

  1. Consider that the side facing the BQE is the NOrth side of this building, so they probably cut down on glass on that side for two reasons: North facing and also BQE facing. I haven’t seen the interior but I would be willing to bet that the South face has lots of windows in it. The place looks really nice to me, but I’m just a normal Joe, not an expert like you all.

  2. I’m sure they took their proximity to the BQE into account when designing the building. Optimistic, glass half full, architecture. I also like the kabob on 326 Park…The two buildings play off each other.

  3. “All the charm of an Ikea” …but without any yellow.

Given what is outside of the windows, not sure why anyone would want more, more, more. To better see and hear the highway?
