Evidently the aluminum windows that we complained about at 936 Fulton Street are not bothering buyers. When we walked past on Sunday during the conversion project’s first showing, we noticed a couple clusters of youngish-looking people standing around outside. They were doing more than standing around: The building’s website Fulton on Clinton shows that six out of the 11 units are already in contract! We’re hoping somebody who’s been on the inside can explain what the frenzy is about. Also, according to a reader who contacted the broker, they’ve gotten inquiries from both a bank and a “large coffee house in Fort Greene” about the commercial space. We shall see. This news is certainly welcome for Fulton Street (and the person trying to sell the building next door).
Surprise! 936 Fulton Will Be Condos [Brownstoner] GMAP P*Shark DOB
What am I missing here? I only see three of the appartments in contract…
I bought all six units
one for me
on each for my kids
btw great site!
Hey TeTe,
10:30 here.
You toured the units – so do you think there are really six units already in contract?
This is great news — the floral shop across the street from the “Fult-on Clinton condos” (on the corner of Cambridge Pl) is now available for rent too. Does anyone know what “large coffee shop in Fort Greene” Mr. B was alluding to? Does anyone know what Mr. Diggler was trying to type in the above post?
Today at the Adelphi Post Office the woman behind the glass was sending a text message while she was weighing my package.
I saw the inside and I agree that the units are overpriced but only slightly. At least the price is at a point where some people can actually afford them, including those that already live in the neighbourhood. The construction work is certainly thorough, no half-assed reno here or awkward floorplans, although we’ll see when the details are finished. Right now most units are still in the drywall stage. I’d definetly pick one up if I had the money. Right now the block is a little slow but once the street converts back to a two-way street and more restaurants and other amenities open up current buyers will be pleased with their investment.

Hmmm, sorry to be skeptical, but…
The units look ok and all, but It’s hard to believe that there are already six units in contract within the first week of showings – this ain’t 2005.
Apartment 2B looks to be around 800 square, and at $555k, that would be almost $700 per s.f.
Overpriced for the nabe, IMO.
Now thats what I’m talkin about!
go condos!
go condos!
go condos!
