The best development projects in the borough will get their moment in the sun this summer as the Building Brooklyn Awards ceremony returns for 2017.

The winners are selected by a panel of independent architects, city planners and other business leaders.

This year, the awards ceremony will honor Katepalli R. Sreenivasan, President and Dean of NYU Tandon School of Engineering and Timothy D. King, Managing Partner of CPEX Real Estate.
Winners for 2017 include Pierhouse and 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge Park, Empire Stores, the Ford Ampitheater and NYU Tandon’s Makerspace.

The awards ceremony will kick off at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 13 at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge at 60 Furman Street. It will be followed by a cocktail reception at 7 p.m.
