Any suckers out there? If so, this one’s for you! Actually the ad’s too good not to just print in full:

Here’s a rare opportunity to invest in this well developed, 3 family, brick property before the “bidding” starts. Located in trendy Park Slope North (Prospect Heights), it features 4 BR units (12 total!!), 2 baths per unit, full basement, and new everything (appliances, wood floors, fresh walls, light fixtures, bath fixtures, windows, plumbing, electrical wiring, and 1 year guaranty). This property is still being worked, but is only months away from being complete. View this property, be assertive, and make it yours.

Park Slope North? Hah. That’s a good one.

  1. As a matter of fact pfa, I had a chance to speak to the developer when he had a for sale sign immediately after they poured the foundation (1-1/2 years ago) and from the conversation, i’d say you’re on the money. If I can remember, his response was something like “Ok I’ll sell you the property at the going rate, plus the cost of the foundation, but I can out very little into this property and make double of what you’d pay me”. Nail, head, hit

  2. I wonder, honestly. How much of it is stupidity and how much is it greed? Can we get the builder to understand the role of architecture in society? And how in a very real way, he/she makes a contribution that resonates in the lives of people for many years to come? Would he/she care? I’d have more respect for ’em if I believed they did understand but chose to say, “fuck it, I just wanna make money”…

  3. “4 BR units (12 total!!), 2 baths per unit,”

So that’s a grand total of 48 bedrooms and 24 baths? There must be several below-ground levels under that bunker that aren’t visible from street level…

Ok, but seriously, how did they even fit 4 bedrooms and 2 baths on each floor of that?

  4. Hey 5:22pm, who suggested everyone here hates all new buildings, I love new buildings that are good design. I love all good design, old or new. And unlike some people here, I am fully capable of calling some of those overly ornate Victorian Brownstones with too much dark wood in them, “ugly”. And yet I STILL call this building ugly! Era has nothing to do with it.
