112 Underhill Back In Action
When we

When we checked in on 112 Underhill last April, the craptacular-looking new two-family house was looking basically finished. But then the project went into suspended animation for the summer and fall. So we were interested to spot some workers on site the other day finally putting on the finishing touches. Can’t wait until the fence comes down and we can finally get the money shot.

I hope the construction isn’t as bad as the aesthetics. If it’s not, maybe someone will buy it and make some minor cosmetic changes, transforming it into a funky modern bldg somehow… It’s its only hope.
It’s ugly but by no means the worst I’ve ever seen. They get worse.
ain’t that the truth !!

This is an almost exact match of a building on South 4th Street. That one sits at the end of a nice row of 1850s rowhouses and only a couple of doors down from a really nice, ultra-contemporary townhouse, so it really pales in comparison.
There is an uglier building a few threads down below.
I dub thee Sir Squinty.
This is the ugliest building I have ever seen in my entire life. Someone should make a reality TV show called, “I Just Bought the Fugliest House on My Block”. It could pretend to be some hot real estate showcase type show, then . . . SURPRISE! You’re really on “I Just Bought the Fugliest House on My Block!” This house should be the pilot.
The parking garage across the street from this has more charm.
Because the “money shot” will make this markedly better.
