"OSSO Architecture replaced a crumbling brick stoop that was not original to the house with bluestone treads, open risers, and a steel railing. They cleaned up the exterior facade, installed new Pella windows, and restored the original front doors, now boldly painted Exotic Purple by Benjamin Moore." But there is no facade picture showing this.

Changing the front windows is awful. Just because one isn't within the historic district today, one should still maintain the historic nature of the house.

This is really nice. My one quibble is that the Stove being inset in that alcove would make for an awkward and cramped cooking experience. You have to take the pan or pot out and around a wall to pour the contents into a bowl. Also the ability to move pans, do a "wok flip", or any of the other kinetic activities of cooking happens in a constrained space. But if the in-la apartment is really a nice hotel room for visiting grandparents who are going to be eating out or ordering in most meals, it won't matter.
