I am so happy that this is finally happening. The Order of Tents is not only an important part of our history, the building is an outward sign of that history. I thought when they sold off the back part of the property to a developer who put up an apartment building at least ten years ago, they'd finally have enough money to stabilize and repair the facade and perhaps even be able to have events or guests again. But that didn't happen, I don't know the details. A couple of years ago, some residents got some attention for trying to help, and now it seems as if the Tents have been revitalized as an organization and their building and legacy will not be a victim of demolition by neglect. Good news at a time when good news is needed.
