Its fairly certain the wines prices will include a premium for the “hip” spelling of Breukelen.
The bar is still happening on the opposite corner next to Ms. Dahlia’s Cafe. I’ve looked in the window and there is definitely a bar there. Rumor has it the name is No-Bar.
This is the place that rumor had was going to be an upscale bar. Wine shop is good too. Rob, most of the liquor stores around here are the plexiglass partitioned variety. We can do much better. Olivino’s is great, and not overpriced, hopefully this is the same. They are in the perfect location to do very well.
rob–there are definitely liquor stores in the area but this is a different sort of store. Definitely what you would term “yuppy” but anybody who is at all into wine would not be happy with the selection of wines at the average liquor store. While you may not appreciate such distinctions many people do.
I’m opening a liquor store. I’m going to call it Cracked Flute.
is this just a wine shop? or is it like the other “wine shops” that are really just overpriced liquor stores? (im looking at YOU red white and bubbly in park slope). they seem to be popping up everywhere with ridiculous names that only a yuppie could stomach be caught dead in. what’s wrong with just calling it a liquor store (and are there really none in that area? find that a little hard to believe..)

Very cool. From what I understand Olivino is doing well in Stuy Heights so it looks like if you build they will come.
