Wendy's Doubles Down in Downtown Brooklyn

benson and legion, I will personally treat you both to a meal at Bark the eve of our next meetup if you so wish. It is WAY out of my way (ask me at the next gathering how far I have to trek to get to that place, jaysus christ what a hike) but the pork sandwich is it! NOWHERE sells a tenderloin sandwich except this place.
Benson and Legion, Spumoni is the BEST with the square slices, no competition.
I was by Totonnos last week and saw them working on the new place but it definitely wasn’t open. Maybe they managed to finish everything and had it up and running as of this year but it wasn’t open the week between Christmas and New Years that’s for sure.
“11217, when I want a snack,
I wanna pay 2 bucks and want some grease.
I don’t want to know how I’m saving the
habitat of the piping plover.
and when I hear “Austrian hot dogs”
I reach for my gun”
That’s cool Legion. Takes all kinds of people to make the world go ’round. I like Bark, you like White Castle. Everyone’s happy.
And P.S. While I happen to enjoy “reading” New York Mag from time to time, I don’t think most people would consider The New Yorker (who gave Bark a glowing recommendation) a “stupid rag.”
Fast food means maybe that the food moves faster.
It would mean that there is less time to have rodents crawling all over your vittles before service.

Rob,
As I said, most of the hot dogs on their menu are $4.25 – $6.00 dollars.
None of them are $8. There’s a big difference between 5 dollars and 8 dollars.
Why don’t you go try it first before you rip it apart. Have you ever even walked by the place?
There are lots of people beside me who like Bark, and your suggestion that anyone who likes Bark is a horrible person is offensive to say the least.
benson,
I looked it up. it’s the oldest “continuously run” pizzeria in America, at least according to their web site.
…yeah,
Bark sux!
😉
