Mt. Kilimanjaro is a sad but straightforward case.
the rainforests at the base of that mountain have been cleared to such an extent that the water those forests produce is no longer available to become snow at the top of the mountain made famous by Hemmingway.
…forecest is for snow tomorrow. 🙂

something tells me that you would enjoy living in this
house;
Legion – I’ll grant you that weather isn’t an exact science 🙂 but the evidence is still mainly that global warming is real.
I’ll see your Himalayas & raise you Mt. Kilimanjaro.
There was an article like that a few years ago in the times Rob:
Some artist guy bought the building on the corner of Bowery and Spring in the 70s for 70k or some outrageous amount. It was a former bank. They said he could have sold it for 70 million dollars in 2006. Its literally half the block. He still uses it as a single family residence.
Arkady,
Are you saying that the scientist in question, Professor Jones is not, in fact, conceding errors in his and his organization’s assessment?
Even the Times or Guardian version has him vacillating.
…Don’t make me post the Himilayan Glacier debacle as well.
😉
did anyone read the article in the times today about the couple who live in a gigantic loft on the corner of broadway and layfayette st in manhattan!?? in the article they are blah blah blah blah blah patting themselves on the back, typical new york times real estate BS, then they casually mentioned how they only pay 1291 a month in rent :-/

Daily Mail is a red-top rag – read the Times or Guardian version – quite different.
