    YES!!!! the wordage is hysterical.

and rf, i know it’s not just tards and not just iphones, but most of the time it is.

they can have my phone. my phone is a cheapy 15 dollar prepaid phone.

blindly walking around with a 600 dollar phone in your hand is ridiculous. it just screams take me take me! and the thieves know that most of the spaghetti armed beardos are not going to put up a fight.

  2. *rob*, was just thinking how ridiculous the paper sounds calling all of the “perps” “jerks” and “creeps”.

Reminds me of the guy from America’s Most Wanted, who incessantly refers to murderous sociopaths as “creeps” and “jerks”. As in “So let’s get this creep off the streets…” or “…this jerk needs a lesson in good old U.S. of A. justice…”

Makes me scratch my head. To me, a jerk is someone who cut me off on the sidewalk taking a sharp turn, or a cigarette smoker with no regard to their ember as they walk, or who blows smoke willy nilly into faces, or someone who thoughtlessly takes up both sides of an escalator making it impossible to pass… not someone who knifed a woman to death while raping her, or who killed a child, or who shot up an innocent family’s home in some drive-by etc.

Man, what’s gotten into me? I’m ranting at 9:35am.

  3. the police blotters always crack my shi+ up. well except for the truly horrific stuff. but all the tards who get their iphones swiped from their hands is pretty lolzworthy.

  4. Nice pic!

The Bern – Dibner Library at Polytechnic University. I remember many a late night spent studying for exams in that building. The building houses an incredible collection of scientific and engineering texts dating from the 1800’s to present. It is also home to a number of innovative laboratories. I remember a friend who was studying computer engineering (designing chips and such) took me to a place in the building called The Center for Advanced Large scale Computing (CALC). They had this ENORMOUS printout on a wall. It looked like a big block of red, green and yellow. As he looked at it in awe all I could muster was WTF is that? Then he moved a red 8-1/2″ x 11″ gel over a section of it and the block of color became these tiny individual lines and dots.

What he was showing me was the guts of what was to become an integrated circuit (computer chip). The lines were the filaments and the dots were the millions upon millions of transistors they had designed.

As a civil engineering student used to studying bridges and dams and huge infrastructure I was blown away at the scale of this chip. It was the largest object I had yet beheld. Yet when built it would fit in the palm of my hand.

And designed right here in Brooklyn.

    Cool….

  5. How the eff is a property owner allowed to rack up 508 violations and still be allowed to keep the property. I don’t see the seizure of property as something to be done lightly, but in instances like these, I think it’s pretty clear that either the owner a) refuses to take care of the property or b) is unable to take care of the property. Fine their asses, take that ish away from them, and, depending on the severity and amount of time egregious conditions have been permitted to exist, throw the lousy bastards in jail. For all the grand standing the politicians do about craptastic property owners/landlords, they don’t seem to want to put any teeth into laws to force them to shape up. Ridiculous.
