“But a bicycle with ONE seat sure transports many people.”

“drivers have long controlled all the roadway real estate”
I’m glad nobody told me, because I’ve been riding my bike all over the place for decades.
A 20lb bike causes so much more distress to the streets vs a carbon spewing, 3,000lb SUV.
When tolls are started on east river bridges and congestion pricing instituted we than can discuss the registration of bikes.
“and in a city that is extremely well suited to biking as it is flat and enjoys a fairly mild climate”
hahaha again.
You’ve never cycled in Upper Manhattan; Inwood, Morningside Heights, Washington Heights, Hamilton Heights, Harlem, Spanish Harlem. Nothing flat about it.
Or south Brooklyn as a matter of fact, lots of hills.
And where in this city do you find fairly mild climate in late June, July, August and early Sept.? Just wondering cause I sweat like a horse.
randolph, have you ever actually contributed anything to a discussion or are you just here because you’re an immature child????
rob u r a moron
the flip-flop and tote-bag class want their rights too! lol

Yes, if there’s going to be money spent on lanes, signage, etc…make them all register and pay a fee.
Exactly, ET. And they can’t carry much.
And it seems like biking is more popular as a leisure activity rather than a serious form of transportation. I don’t doubt that some people use it as their main mode of transport, but it’s a small minority, and likely will remain so.
