  1. What a ridiculous article re: PSP. I can’t believe that stuff passes for reporting, but then, it is the Post.I think it is ridiculous that they just *had* to bring up the hat incident, which happened TWO YEARS AGO. By and large, the list functions very well for having a lot of opinionated members with loose fingers on the keyboard. Of course there are people with extreme points of view on the list serve, people whom I wouldn’t want to stand behind in line for coffee, let alone take their parenting advice. But I think the vast majority of members are just normal people, trying to make a living, do right by their children and find some support in a hectic urban environment. But then, I suppose those people don’t sell newspapers.

  2. In re Navy Yark Cocktail lounge…it was the subject of a mini web brouhaha on the Clinton Hill Blog when the proprietor of that blog (lesterhead) wrote up her experiences there. Led to all sorts of accusations of classicism/racism. Might be a bit too far afield in many ways for our party.

  3. oh and i’ve seen the park slope nannies. they are totally low rent. nothing like the nannies of tribeca and the UES. just accept it 😉

  4. “park slope parents just come across as UES parents who cant afford nannies.”

I would imagine that most Park Slope parents can (and do) afford nannies however.

  5. i sorta kinda have to adend what i said about nyc parents being too over involved. it pains me to say it, but the truth of the matter is that in reality most nyc parents dont give a crap about their kids which suck. so i guess over involvement is better than neglect. and i bet what i perceive as over involvement and smothering is different than a lot of people. (i was a total ferral child. as if that’s not obvious tho ahhaha)

  6. DIBS, nice catch! I watched the entire series too, including the recent finale. And that definitely seems to be the same light and medallion, which they said was made from a rubber mold. It was at the top of the spiral staircase, correct? The woman said she found it online, if memory serves.
