Today, a farmer’s market opened at Restoration Plaza. The market will run on Wednesdays from 9 am to 1 pm directly across from the Applebee’s until July 31. It’s hosted by the Brooklyn Rescue Mission. And a more permanent market, the Hattie Carthan Community Farmer’s Market, opened this past weekend in two locations: at the corner of Clifton Place at Marcy Avenue on Saturdays and at 49 Van Buren Street, inside the Hattie Carthan Herban Farm, on Sundays. The Saturday market runs from 9 am to 3 pm and the Sunday market runs from 1 pm to 6 pm. The season lasts through November. Fork in the Road has lots of great pictures from opening day.
