  1. There was a news story on last night about the domes. they erected these tents like you’d have at a yard garden party over them. The trouble is that the sun moves and the tents don’t so they still got hot.

There were a number of shots on the news of parents allowing their kids to touch them and climb on them to show the camera just how hot they were!!!!

  2. “a combination of a society hell bent on frivolous litigation and a culture of coddling ones precious little snowflakes.”

*rob*, I actually agree with you.

While I thought those “domes” were lame when I saw them. They just didn’t seem like much fun.

Kids play, they get hurt. It’s part of growing up. I’m sick of hearing parents say ‘don’t do that’, ‘be careful’, ‘No, you can’t go on that’. Unless, it’s truly dangerous, let kids explore! That’s what they’re supposed to do. They need to learn their own boundaries and what they’re comfortable doing.

  3. dem domes r dum.

u need a real canopy to provide shade. union sq has the old large trees, bbp does not and will not for 10-20 years.

ergo dem domes will be removed or artificial shade provided.

lol dave is so scared of china he feels like an intern!

  4. We used to like to play by the freight railroad tracks…and climb over the lumber at lumberyard.
Can that concept be made into a playground?
