haha – i thought that was a serious comment until I saw who posted it!!
i agree – window ACs are just as unsightly as AC sleeves. brownstone owners should be required to install central ac – the window units really undermine the integrity of the block.

When I saw that playground, I thought how pathetic. All it has is swings for very young children and those metal domes. BORING!

So True.
What happened to see saws and monkey bars and those flat hard swings that one kid can sit on and one can stand up facing them and they swing together.
While metal does get hot, metal slides are the best. You slide down so fast. As opposed to the plastic ones where a kid gets stuck mid way and has to be pulled down by an adult the rest of the way….ho hum.
aaah, everything was so much better when I was a kid.
