You know, The What has pretty much disappeared off this site. That’s a significant development of 2009.
What about the thread about the two pieces of bread in the window box? The poster never finished the story…gulp!
You KNOW that my favorite post has to be a PLG-related one. Actually, they’re two related threads, on consecutive days, about the near-undoing of our latest PLG historic district by our City Council person, not least because of the effect it had on him.

Of course I also like this thread about the PLG Arts Mural Project:

But, proud as I am of that project, the nasty old curmudgeon in me makes me prefer the first two, especially because everything worked out in the end
Jessibaby;
Thanks!
One thing you have to admit: I may not be cuddly and lovable, but I always get a good controversy going!
BH76- yes- that was the post.
And don’t forget Snarky’s song rewrites!
Snappy, what ROTD thread?
And check out MM’s response:
“Montrose Morris you are a pompous black Asshat!”
I will truly cherish this one. If I didn’t want to be anonymous, I’d put this on a tee shirt, and wear it proudly. I might do it anyway, and sell it. After I make piles of money, and buy all the great houses I’ve seen in Crown Heights, I can sit back in one of my mansions, on my very comfortable $20,000 leather Ralph Lauren tufted sofa I have my eye on, and say “Thanks, What.” I couldn’t have done it without YOU!

The time when the What called Montrose Morris a Pompous Black Asshat.
One of my favorite threads was the onr either on election day or the day after. MM was paricularlyy eloquent. And reading everyone’s comments was another reminder of why I love living here in Brooklyn
