Nostrand Avenue is getting a sushi restaurant! This Brooklynian poster found construction happening at 604 Nostrand, between Atlantic and Pacific, and was told it would be a sushi joint. “Crown Heights sushi is an oxymoron. Have fun gnawing on eel,” said one naysayer, but we’ll hold out for the best. Also across the street is a sign that a ribs and steakhouse is coming soon. GMAP
This will be the 2nd sushi place in Crown Heights–Sushi Tatsu is on Franklin. I never eat the fish at Sushi tatsu–only the vegetarian dishes.
In any event–any restaurant that offers more than the steam table fare is welcome in this area of town.
How much sushi can folks really eat? Seems to be a little crazy in this town. Aren’t you concerned about heavy metal poisoning from eating so much of these large, top-of-the-food-chain predator fish?
I’ll bet $1,000 they don’t have Chu Toro and if they do it’ll be bad.
