As the pic above shows, the interior of Weather Up—the fancy new cocktail bar on Vanderbilt between Dean and Bergen that’s scheduled to open in a few weeks—is looking just about complete. The white tile motif has been extended to the outside of the bar (see photo on jump), and one of the business’s partners told Grub Street he wanted to make the former storefront church into something of a jewel box. Weather Up comes c/o one of East Side Company Bar’s original investors, and Sasha Petraske (the mastermind behind Milk & Honey and Little Branch) is consulting on the bar’s drinks, according to an Eater report.

Tiles on the ceiling are, in my opinion, a mistake. LOUD.
Just like yesterday (and many other days), the same jackass is writing 90% of the stupid stuff on this thread, provoking people and then answering his own provocations if nobody else does. Don’t take this dork’s bait.
Nobody actually hates moms, kids, or singles. I mean, strollers *are* obnoxious in a crowd, but we all know it’s harder work for the mom than it is for the single dude in a hurry….
On the bar: Great for PH, which I like a lot. Personally not sold on the tile on the ceiling, but I like it otherwise. More excellence in cocktails, absolutely. AND nice, cold, simple beer, too.
Their are NO cool parents in PS or PH. They are all lame and obnoxious as well as their little brats.
Everyone needs something to post about and a $8M HOTD just isn’t interesting. Looking forward to tomorrow.
This thread is totally asinine but the bar looks really nice.
sasha is not the owner of this. he is consulting with them on the drink menu and training of the bartenders.
I don’t know how involved he will be once it will open (he is still visible at east side co and little branch on occasion, and at M&H everynight)
study up, 6:12–and keep your cubicle job. You’ve hit your ceiling, clearly.
whatever, 6:02–better than being a fucktard, asshat.
6:08…
actually, no.
it’s just a little thing called the law.
no one under 21 inside a bar.
g’night.
