StreetLevel: Old School Italian on Court Street

Seems the more things change on Court Street, the more they stay the same. We inquired what was going into the vacant storefront between 9th and Garnet and were told that it’s going to be an Italian restaurant, “but not like some of the newer places that have opened around here–this is going to be a more traditional restaurant.” Can’t say we’ve minded the newer breed of Italian eateries, like Frankies 457, but it’s good to see vestiges of the old neighborhood asserting themselves. Couldn’t dig up any other deets on this place aside from learning that it’s going to be called Luna Rossa. Anyone have more info? GMAP
Ah, Cino’s, fond memories of going with a big group, ordering a bottles of cheap house wine and spending hours eating food, getting buzzed on the wine and abused by the wait staff.
actually, my experience at hanley’s has been good, except that the service is too slow.
No, please let it not be another Frankie’s. One place on Court street with obnoxious “too cool for school” attitude is quite enough thank you. And has anyone else noticed that the quality of food at Hanley’s has really bombed this summer?
Two Tom’s is fucking disgusting, but I’m glad it’s there.
So they are naming the place after the Prada-sponsored America’s Cup Yacht?
lots of different stuff going on on south court street. what’s up with that leo’s corner place?
3:38, I know exactly what 2:48 was going for, and it would be nice for this thread to not go there today. Glad you got a laugh.

It is going to be Brick oven pizza. Yum!
lol 2.48 and 3.09. I think 2.48 is referring to the past 45 odd years in those neighborhoods… that is sometimes referred to as “authentic” or “old school” (which is ironic because it couldn’t be farther from the original vibe of those neighborhoods when they were build 150 odd years ago). Pretty funny comments, both of you. Gave me a good laugh. (sincerely – not being sarcastic)
