As noted in a Food & Drink Roundup a couple weeks ago, 4th Avenue has a new coffee shop. Cafe 474, which is between 10th and 11th streets, has cups of drip starting at $1.50 and shots of espresso for $2.25. There’s also an assortment of baked goods from Blue Sky and Little Buddy. One of 474’s owners used to run a coffee truck. GMAP

  1. Jessi,

Fair enough and to be honest, while I like the idea of fair trade, I don’t even know enough about it to know if my La Colombe is.

I only mentioned it because I like supporting local businesses and read that this place does serve Fair Trade so thought I would mention it in case any readers cared.

The only thing I’m helping when I drink coffee is my sanity. And by that measure, I should probably have another. 🙂

Seriously though, I see your point and agree, although I do like to do what I can when I can. If given the option between Fair trade and not, I’d choose the former unless it tasted like rat poison.

  2. “i can guarantee if you smoke in that pergola or whatever the hell it is, someone is gonna give you the stink eye fer sure.”

That’s when you blow the smoke in their stinky eye. Hate the passive-aggressive smoker haters.
