Here’s one of the more interesting new 4th Avenue businesses we’ve come across in a while: The Nolita Ethiopian restaurant Ghenet is going to open a branch on 4th and Douglass in the coming weeks. Ghenet is known for its vegetarian friendly, accessible Ethiopian cooking, according to New York Mag. The coming restaurant is directly across the street from the newish (and popular) Australian-themed Sheep Station. Ghenet Brooklyn is probably going to open sometime in mid-March, according to one of its owners. GMAP
Have been waiting for this for months. My wife and I have been going to Ghenet for years. Now it’s that much closer.
as a recent transplant from DC I’ve sorely missed my regular Ethiopian dinners! This is great news!
I know some people didn’t seem totally into it, but I really like that deli Canteen that opened on 4th and Bergen…anyone been there yet?
Nice space.
4th is coming along nicely. 5th is on fire.
And dare I say it…7th might be on the verge of a tiny renaisannce. I saw that yogo moster place too. Looks really interesting and great “hip” decor.
I almost thought it looked out of place.
And one of my favorite places to eat in the Slope is Moim on Garfield and 7th.
Wow!!! exactly what is needed
My prayers have been answered! Awesome!
The retail scene in Park Slope is rocking my world….Ethiopian, organic yogurt, babeland!!!
What a night that could make!
I cant wait – Please bring some more interesting places further down Fourth…
Ghenet is fantastic…i wish I lived closer.
Is that literally “grubs”?
What the hell do they eat in Ethiopia?
