StreetLevel: Bistro Open on 6th Ave and 14th
The former bodega on 14th Street and 6th Avenue has been turned into a restaurant that opened about a week and a half ago. Slope’s Bistro Restaurant fare runs from salads ($6.95 for Caesar) to pasta ($9.95 for mushroom ravioli) to fish and meat entrees ($17.50 for a NY strip). GMAP

I walk past this place everyday and never see anyone in it. I agree with AC about the blandness of the interior. But i guess you can’t hate on it untll you try it.
Just walked by again…I take it back on the standard bistro decor…they need a wee bit of help. Fairly bland.
BTW, same folks who own Cobble Grill in Cobble Hill. Go figure.
The menu (we walked by on Friday), while small, seemed just diverse enough to work. Food/bar quality is what’s going to make/break the place.
Decor was standard “bistro” look: small tables, dark wood, lots of starched white tablecloths, etc., but it can open to the outside which made it seem bigger than it actually is.
