There’s a rendering of an expanded version of the supermarket pasted on the window of the recently shuttered restaurant that shows the grocery store (see photo on jump) also swallowing up the adjacent (and similarly closed) Donutscoffee shop. We’re looking forward to seeing a bigger supermarket in this spot, but we know a few Slopers who were hungry for another restaurant in the spot. Think it’s an OK trade-off? GMAP
I dont know about you guys, but i think the associated expanding plan is a pretty good idea for the store, just hope there are a more variety of items and maybe More sea food, i also like the idea of the new Front cashier renovation, much more space a bit faster, one final remark is that they should hire as one of you said, a real Butcher!! The cats are ok, very friendly 🙂
8:01, yes.
Hopefully the expanded associated will have sashimi-grade fish. is that too much to ask?
8:40 – Try the Pink Pussycat on 5th Ave.
are you serious, 6:05?
the place really isn’t that bad.
Only ever buy factory sealed non perishables from Assoc.
i agree. i also really enjoyed beso a lot.
still haven’t found a brunch place i liked as much as there.
everytime ive bought chicken from Associated it smelled like fish.
plus, there were the cats that used to roam around inside.
I go there for the occaisional jamon serrano fix. otherwise, no.
Will miss Beso. I know people were down on it (and service could be spotty at certain hours), but it’s on the very fwe brunch places open BEFORE 11am. I’m a morning person, so I went there when it opened; and had great service. Will miss the donut shop.
