Judging from the crowds swarming around the latest Uncle Louie G Italian Ice/Ice Cream outpost on Smith Street this weekend, the chain’s newest location is already a hit. The storefront, near the corner of Atlantic, opened last week. In addition to a couple Park Slope locations and a few others in southern Brooklyn, Uncle Louie G has franchises all over the city. 1. 3:29pm you are a complete joke…

Blue marble is a complete rip off I went there once and got 2 small scoops that were in this plate it wasnt even a bowl and cost about $6….ANd the people there were jerk offs I was like you work in an ice cream store whats with the attitude…

I am not trying to compare the two its like comparing Haagen Dazz to Marinos italian ice… But an ice at Louie G’s which is reasonably priced is worth it compared to getting ripped off and spend $30 on 4 people for ice cream…WHAT A JOKE you are 3:29pm get over yourself…

  2. Gabby since Louie G’s started in Brooklyn and in NY owned and operated – can you give us a little guide as to what criteria we should use to recognize when a local “mom & pop” business (which presumably on Brownstoner = good) becomes a “chain” (which obvioulsy on Brownstoner=evil) – Does it happen with the 2nd location (although you guys seem to still like the Smith + 5th Ave stores) or the 3rd. Does it matter if Pop is really really fat? or drives an ugly gas guzzler?. Since they are only opened 1/2 the year, should we count 2 locations as 1?

Just want to know so I know which stores to protest and complain about.

    Thanks
