Prospect Park is in the midst of celebrating its 150th anniversary, and you can get in on the fun with an evening of food, drinks and dancing under the stars.
The Prospect Park Alliance is hosting the Prospect Park Soiree, a big dinner party at the park’s Peninsula. Guests are invited to bring their favorite food and bottle of wine to the event, which will feature a DJ and lawn games. To set the festive mood, attendees are asked to don a dramatic hat or headpiece and bring some decorations for their table.
Tables and chairs will be provided and tables will accommodate up to 10 guests – groups of smaller than eight are encouraged to share tables. The Prospect Park Alliance estimates that 4,000 guests will show up this year to dine together.
The Soiree will take place Saturday, June 24 and the gates will open at 5 p.m. The event is limited to those age 21 and over. Tickets are $40 per guest and are only available online — no tickets will be available at the door to the event.
All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Prospect Park Alliance in their efforts to keep the park in top form. To buy tickets or to learn more about this year’s Soiree, click here.
