I would not call it immoral or unethical, but you could probably use it as the base for a book called “everything that is wrong with the American upper class.”

She thinks it’s just too much of a hassle to be pregnant, and if there is some woman in Central America who will do it for her, why would she bother?

Lech- sounds like the modern day variant of eugenics. It’s the mindset – designing your children. It’s one thing to test for genetic diseases, like Tay-Sachs, that are debilitating and fatal, but gender? Too control freakish for me.
