All in the Family was the best sitcom of all time, IMO.
I have seen perhaps 4 episodes of Seinfeld and Friends combined – did not care for either.
I enjoyed Seinfeld. Couldn’t stand Friends.

and there are no moonface friends on Martin, and a gazillion other shows i grew up watching on UPN. and when they were, they were often carictures too. personally i find forced tokens on tv shows rather lame anyway. and that show Friends was stupid anyway, it was ABOUT New New York which is essentially what you will see if you go into any bar in williamsburg or park slope. a sea of nothing but white.

I hated Seinfeld BSM. That’s probably sacrilege to many.
benson- my father (life long Democrat that he was) would still have loved you. My mother would have loved the fact that you’re successful. My sister would like you only if I say to and my brother would tell you to point your toes while he hammered you into the ground (He’s quite tall) 😉
Thank you bxgrl. I never saw Friends, Seinfeld or the Cosbys in Prime time. Speaking of the people of color on TV. Non of the folks on Friend or Seinfeld had any friends of color. On Seinfeld all the people of color on the show were caricatures.
Slopey, thanks, I got your email, and that’s the book to which I was referring. Very interesting period to me from a historical standpoint, and not one I know well.
