Paper Source, the paper goods spot to take the place of Bueno (and many restaurants before it), has opened. The store, which is the first Paper Source based in New York, has been open about a week. When we first reported that a stationery store would be moving in to this neck of the woods, some readers were skeptical, especially with Rite Aid and Duane Reade nearby. At least they’re opening at a good time of year!

Duckumu is right. This store will do very well serving the crafty niche. It was packed this weekend when I passed on Sat and Sun. Whether they’ll cover their Smith St. rent is the only question. Seems like they have enough corporate backing to give them the time to get traction.
I don’t think you want to know what my idea of died and gone to heaven is but a paper/scrapbooking store is not.
Would scrapbooking be the analog version of facebook?
I can’t wait to check this out, but then Kate’s Paperie is my idea of died/gone to heaven.
Wow tybur6, gagging for a source like this is hard to swallow.
I thought suburbanites only did scrap booking.
isn’t scrapbooking just a low-tech/more expensive version of flickr?
i was just scrap booking this weekend lol. GOTD??

My girlfriend thinks this place is great. Me… it seems ok, but I can’t see buying anything other than stocking-stuffer type gifts there. Then again, that’s what Exit 9 is for, and I do like that place.
Confirming gender bias.
Yeah altervoce, it’s definitely one geared towards the ladies.
Unless the screen-name is misleading, I think MrsJ3 is confirming my gender-based theory of relative appreciation for Paper Source.
