BoCoCa Land beat us to the punch on this one, but we just spotted a sign for a ‘Burger Barn’ coming to 240 Court Street, the old Peking 2 take-out spot between Baltic and Kane. The sign also promises drinks and snacks, and apparently the burgers will be organic. Excited? GMAP

  1. I prefer grass fed meat over organic meat
our country is overly-obsessed with the wrong stuff now b/c of the marketing power behind organic farming. EVery major US industrial farm at this stage probably has their own “organic department”

Farms (non-industry/usually family owned doing it for decades) tend to have higher standards with the way they treat the animals and how they deal with cultivation of produce that doesn’t destroy the earth and ecosystem.

Beef raised on a 20 cow pasture is FAR better for you and tastier than beef that was it typically ranched by “Organic Valley” or whatever Organic industrial farm is out there producing organic cattle.

  2. Q: how do you know you are in trouble?

A: when you are getting beaten to the punch by “BoCoCa Land” (it is painful to type that godforsaken word)

  3. of course you will, don’t be silly! serious question, is it true that organic meat (im guessing what people refer to as grass fed cows or something) that the meat is really rough and not juicy?? sounds like the opposite of what a good burger is supposed to taste like.
