Sunshine Co., the bar and restaurant brainchild from the owners of Milk Bar on Vanderbilt Avenue, is open at 780 Washington Avenue. They soft opened over the holidays with a brunch menu as the owners are still waiting for a liquor license. The food is American and there will be fancy cocktails once the liquor license comes through. The reviews on Yelp so far are mostly good. Has anyone checked it out for themselves? And there are more January openings planned for the area, according to the Heart of Brooklyn: A bar from the owners of Fresh Salt in the South Street Seaport at 661 Washington Avenue at Bergen; restaurant Lincoln Station at 409 Lincoln Place, from the owners of al di la and Bar Corvo; and education center Brooklyn Brainery at 190 Underhill Avenue.
