  1. Cobble, I think your post said it all.

As for me, I guess I have no right to say anything about Brooklyn, according to what. I’m a relative newcomer in that I’ve only been here 24 years (slighly more than half a lifetime). I’ve lived in 7 residences in Brooklyn all within a 30-block radius, so I really haven’t gotten around. I’ve owned, co-opped and rented, but never owned multiple properties. I’ve only researched the title, occupancy and neighborhood history of one house. There are still a few neighborhoods I haven’t spent any time in (hello Bushwick! your time will come). I am still learning some of the Brooklyn basics, like how to reach Buzzy to open Buzz-a-rama when he didn’t feel like opening, or where the best spot is in Red Hook to do yoga within view of the Statute of Liberty, or how great the hat guy on Dekalb is, or how late lap swim goes at the red hook pool on weeknights, or who has the best Turkish food near Ave. P, or when to go to Shannon florist/nursery to avoid the crowds, or how to get free advice about dealing with DOB from an architect at 6:30 am, or when you can get a free kayak outing in Canarsie, and I still haven’t visited the surviving community gardens in Brownsville. So, by what’s terms, I guess I have no right to comment on Brooklyn because I haven’t lived here as long as he has, didn’t live the Ocean Hill Brownsville fight first hand, and don’t use every opportunity to advance an Afro-centric view of history. I got news for you what, if you weren’t living in Brooklyn long enough ago to have seen the Dodgers at Ebbets Field, there are a bunch of old guys who won’t count you, either (and some of those guys play some mean bocce).

Cobble’s right. You’ve had some good days lately, but you seem to be tilting at windmills today.

  2. “What, just to set the record straight, you quoted me on that but it was Kensingtonian who said that, not me.”

Eh sorry Biff, my bad. I have to adjust the Targeting System.

“Regardless, I appreciate you responding to my own points and thanks for the positive things you said about me.”

    I meant every word.

    See ya later..

    The What

Someday this war is gonna end…

  3. morefless…ever hear what the Prime Minister of New Zealand said many years ago? “When someone emmigrates from New Zealand to Australia, the average IQ of BOTH countries goes up.”

    Classic.

  4. kidding aside, prime areas of Jersey city is real nice. paulus hook section feels a lot like cobble hill or carroll garden. so if prices in BK does not tank, I’ll be moving there & prices are cracking there now
