Duly noted bxgirl,
However, you were pretty clear in stating that Copernicus, not the Egyptians, placed the sun at the Universe’s center.
“You do understand that Copernicus put the sun at the center of the solar system, as opposed to the idea that the earth was at the center (or riding on turtles?).”
Sorry if I’m coming off as confrontational, not my intention, but I get passionate about History, especially the Egyptians.
Cobble, I’m going, i’m going . . . as soon as what can prove Buddhism originated in Egypt. Too bad he’s a bit off the rails today. He’s been quite witty as of late. I don’t hate him, I just think some of the venom is gratuitous and he needs to be called on it.
Kens…”home” is Brooklyn but maybe I’m more attached to Philly since I’ve been there since 1998. I know I root for the Eagles and the Phillies over any of these NYC teams. My mother has them covered. DO NOT REWRITE THAT LAST SENTENCE.
I know about Tacis Beyti. I said I am still learning these various things, not that I don’t know them. Looks like a hole in the wall compared with the “palaces” nearby. TB’s marinated, grilled eggplant is amazing.
Kens, you live near Buzzy’s place. Have you ever gone in? Such a throwback.
troy- I should have clarified a little better. What’s comment was to claim the Egyptians invented everything but used the fact that Copernicus actually came up with “a fully predictive mathematical model of a heliocentric system” as an example.
The Egyptians may have believed in heliocentrism at varying times, but never came up with such a model and Copernicus was an astronomer- not an astrologer which the What seems not to know are different fields of study (yes interrelated- but very different). So his entire argument is a red herring, in the meantime he takes MM to takes for supposedly being ignorant of Brooklyn.

Should I go give 11217 the “Meds talk”? ; )
