Thanks Kens. I am pretty worried about the potential countertop damage. I believe they must have lifted the old one through the passthrough to get it in because it still seemed to big when measured without the door. And the new one will be much bigger.
“Jessi, I know! What is wrong with women these days? And I am gainfully employed (as least today I am) and fairly good looking (at least my mommy says so). This sucks!!!”
I guess you have to keep putting yourself out there, but at the same time not try too hard. A difficult balance (and an abundance of cliches) that I have so far yet to master…
Snappy, they’ll definitely have to remove the doors, but I don’t think the new one, which will be much bigger, has a chance of getting through.
DIBS, no, it’s not a huge passageway. Of course the folks selling the fridge will say they can do it various ways, including even sawing it in half and putting it back together again (not crazy about that option!). Seems with enough manpower and protective blankets, they should be able to get it through the pass through.
I am with DIBS on that one Biff. Plus you run into a huge risk on either scratching the new appliance and/or countertops in your kitchen if the guys are able to lift it. Try measuring the doorway/entry way as well as the old/new fridge measurements without the doors.
Biff…it won’t even pass through sideways??? How much more space is required. I wouldn’t count on delivery guys to be able to pass it through the “pass through.”

In my old condo I had to enlarge the opening to the kitchen for a new range.

haha m4L is quite the facilitator.
Would taking the doors off the fridge help? Or is there a large window in the kitchen it could go through?
Chicken, thanks for the heart attack! Gah.
My tot has a slight fever, naturally, I am stessed out.
And you guys realize the Outpost has no beer on tap? Or did I not see it?
