  1. Had to come to the open thread to let you all know that I was at the Conde Nast party last night, and who was there but none other than the Real Housewives. Simon, wifey and all…!

Don’t watch the show, but know you guys seem to love them…

  2. Biff–as quasi-official Brownstoner party planner I wanted to say that I spoke with the owner of Outpost the other day and they are very happy to host a party. I have also been talking with them about the idea of a photo show there so it occurred to me (if I can be so presumptuous) that it could be cool to combine these two events this summer. A brownstoner summer party at Outpost with a wasder photo opening. Thoughts?

  3. quote:

Rob, you have a dogwalker? That’s not a poor person thing, I am just saying.

it’s not my choice. my roommate thinks it’s necessary so my dog wont get jealous of his dog who has to be walked during the day by a dog walker cuz she pees every 2 hours. i did tell him it was slightly cost prohibitive of me and he subsidizes 2 of the 5 walks a week for my dog. i think it winds up costing me about 36 dollars a week. my dog gets a nice long walk though and doesnt have to sit alone home all day staring out the window. if it means eating chili at wendy’s for lunch so my dog can be happy, im all for it. it’s not like i have kids you know?

    *rob*

Good work gang – it’s not even noon! Just a few more topics to hit and we can coast for the rest of the day!

  5. Susan Boyle is amazing, I wish people would stop nattering about her eyebrows like they matter.

And Biff, no, people don’t — not really… but it used to be that way for us peons. The fact that it isn’t even 40 hours a week anymore that’s expected is one reason I don’t see the point of working, myself. Money isn’t worth the aggravation. (Of course, now that I am spoiled housewife it is easier to have this point of view.)

In my opinion, most jobs require stupid amounts of time committment — and yet, productivity? Not so required. I blame the internets.

  6. “Very good, BRG, very good!!! I’m not sure some of the lesser minds here will actually get that one!!!!”

DIBS, whacha saying? That I’m clever? Huh, huh, huh? Come on, say it.
Yeah, I hate when I have to explain something I’ve written….SNAPPY!
