  1. omg i totally forgot to say, yesterday on a curb along 5th ave i found two HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE bags of superhero action figures lol. im not a collector or these and i think superheroes are stupid and lame, but i took them anyway. there’s at least 300 of them! some really old some really new. what can i do with them? i know they arent worth much if they arent in the original boxes, but i dont know whawt to do with them. i was thinking about making a mural with them or something like that, or leaving them on trains all around the city. anyway, i wonder why the original owner threw them out. actually it had to be an adult cuz next to it were a bunch of geeky astronomy books hahaha.

  2. Master Po: Close your eyes. What do you feel?
Dave: I feel the cucumber, I hear the birds.
Po: Do you hear your own heartbeat?
Dave: Yes, it’s going in sync with the cucumber.
Po: Do you hear the grasshopper that is at your feet?
Caine: Old man, how is it that you hear these things?
Po: Master, May I have a pack of skittles?

  3. I enjoyed this blast from the past:

NY Daily News, July 13th 1997
“BOOMING BROWNSTONES – SOARING SALES IN HEIGHTS, COBBLE HILL & CARROLL GARDENS”

    http://tinyurl.com/clrh22

    This is the best part:

“Brokers say these things happen in cycles, and many have gut feelings that escalating prices will soon level off.

They remember a similar boom in the early ’80s, followed by the stock market crash in 1987. People who bought at the market peak and then had no choice but to sell during the slump got soaked.

But those who could ride out the lean times are now sitting pretty as real estate madness swirls around them.

Besides, they say, offering a spin on the situation, Brownstone Brooklyn has always been undervalued and the area is finally reaching the market value it deserves.”

  4. I do not remember this but my sister insists I made a ham for Passover last year. I had them over for dinner- but it wasn’t a Passover dinner. Unless I truly have crossed over to the dark side.
