I love chicken liver sandwiches but the only places that you can find nowadays that make them are in the diamond district which, fortunately, is close to my office.
I confess- once in awhile, yes. I like it with butter and salt.
Welcome back by the way! And you too snappy. Did either of you read the Fort Greene transformation article. I thought it was beautifully written and heartfelt.
DIBS — bxgrl’s right, it’s a whole week of “the Passover diet.”
bxgrl — I got sick of the matzoh one year and used Passover as a springboard for low-carb weight loss. Worked great then (I eventually gained it back, unfortunately). Otherwise, make yourself some nice, sweet matzoh brei and smother it with butter and maple syrup. that will cure your white bread cravings for a few days.
And yes, DIBS, I just heard about that sun thing being Wednesday. Happy birth of the world everyone.
snappy- its actually about how neighborhoods age and change, not really about Ft. Greene. Take a look anyway if you get a chance.
are you saying you’re hot, chicken?

omig-d- matzoh brei…my mom used to make the greatest. Crap- now to go out and find a box of matzoh to make it. That I could eat all year round.
I didn’t read the Ft. Greene thing. I don’t know alot (or anything really) about the history of that area so I can’t add anything to that discussion.
“Chicken, are you inviting us to eat your people???!!! Hello everyone 🙂

Hi Snappy.
Does not the leader of another major religion ask his followers to “eat of my flesh”? 😉
Let’s face it – hot wings v bread is not really a contest.

Hi Cobble. How was your time away? Anything fun and exciting to make us all jealous?
