Try Beppe on 22nd. Its awesome. Somewhat more expensive than some of the other suggestions thrown out there so far but really good food and great wine.

sam….I’ve had that hapen but very infrequently. I think its usually because of multiple websites I have open and going in and out of brownstoner. i think its a server glitch of some sort and nothing intentional.
Biff, the margeritas at Sueno are terrific and so is the food. Il Barstado is festive. Gasgone maybe a little sedate.
Sala is also on 19th between 5th and 6th, spanish with an emphasis on tapa, always festive.
benson, I need to ponder your post. I do think it is interesting to think about such points.
DeLepp, I can’t find Il Barstado, but Gascogne has foie gras. DIBS, you want to join us? Actually, I am guessing you would prefer Sueno, which is Mexican…

I just wrote a posting for another thread and when I hit “post” I got a message that I needed to register, even though I have been posting all morning. Annoying because what I wrote was lost, erased. Why does this happen? Is it Stoner’s way of limiting the number of postings made by one writer on a particular thread?
Thanks Snappy, while I never eat my meat well done (medium rare, please), I might pass then based on your comments as I really don’t want to be waiting in line in the rain for a table and then deal with servers with attitudes. I get enough attitude around the Open Thread during the day. 🙂
