Chicken – is the immigration coming along? It took me ten years to get a greencard.
I’m in Marketing, I am not a finance person.
I have worked for a medium-size international law firm and a large international bank. Prior to that I worked for a medium-size corporate design firm. In all three positions I was buying design related services for the company or their clients.

Techinically it’s the same here chicken. The “big” co.’s I worked for all do that- Name, title, dates of employment.
NO Salary, no commentary good or bad.
The smaller co.’s w/o giant legal depts. to advise them? They’ll tell almost anything asked of them. They don’t know any better.
Don’t worry about credit history.
Like grammar, punctuation, saying “totally”, and bitter marmalade, it’s so last millenium.
Cobble, can you share what industry? Meaning, do you handle money or do you advise others with regard to finance?
I’d heard of that being done but never knew any specific companies that did.

mopar, If you use the calamondin oranges, you can use the whole fruit, and the marmalade is sweet! [I made some with a friend recently.]
Rob, My last three employers have all run credit checks.
question for people who might be in the know.. for years i kept hearing about employers doing CREDIT checks on future employees… was that basically not true? or do they do that? i feel like that’s worse than a landlord running a credit check!
