  1. “Does Disqus maintain databank of posts available on the internet?”
Yes but I am not sure of the details except that it keeps all your posts , if you post on disqus systems and whatever systems you’ve linked it to. You can look up your archive, as can site owners who use disqus. I’m not sure how much other disqus members- such as ourselves- can see of each other’s posts like we see them if you clicked on our profiles.

  2. I was wondering if the public can check the LPC records like they can DOB records. But all that aside, given the short time frame between the purchase of the house and the demo going on now, I wonder if they ever even went to LPC.

  3. You can do that, rf. I wonder if we all create multiple log in names we can overload disqus and bring it down 😉

But my main objection is that disqus, not brownstoner, holds basically an archive of what you post, and any information or links you may have put into your account, on their centralized servers so the can track you across multiple sites and keep all that info in one place. I know there are ways to work around it but honestly, i think if I want that kind of social networking I’ll ask the CIA to do it. 🙁
