Your taxes don’t pay to support 80% of society. The majority of people in this country do pay taxes based on the same factors you pay by. Your money goes to a myriad of infrastructure, programs, defense, etc. that the government takes care of because we are, after all, one country and that’s the deal.
Nope- and don’t think I don’t believe there isn’t a lot this government shouldn’t be doing to lower it, and stop spending on a huge amount of things but what’s the alternative? We can still complain all we want (our right- it’s protected) but how many us are about to pack our bags and go live in China or South Africa or anywhere else?
