I don’t buy the New Yorker but not for any particular reason, just that I have a lot to read anyway.
But I have a friend who sends me “packets”. Clippings of stuff he thinks I would like to read AND New Yorker cartoons.
I got one of a dweeby looking guy in a super hero suit with an “I” on it. On top, says “Introducing Idiotman” and the bubbles comig out of his mouth…”at the end of the day….” and “It is what it is”.
actually that probably wasnt the only reason i got a C. we only had one project for that class (it was a stupid ass intermediate video class) and the video was supposed to be about people doing something positive for society (ugh i know, SO not up my alleY). i really screwed up with my video and she just did NOT get my point. grrrrr. basically we were supposed to do a documentary about do-gooders. i couldnt be asked
That was me after the Bar exam – I memorized so much crap that wasn’t tested and found myself spewing random law garbage for days. We parked our car in a lot in San Francisco and I asked my friend if the garage was a general bailee.

I don’t understand why you guys are encouraging Rob and his anti-intellectual ranting. He went to college, should we tell him he was an idiot to do that, too?
oh please, college means shit these days. plus i went to a state school and my SAT score sucked ass. i did however get straight A’s throughout my whole life except for one C in college cuz me and my friend called the professor a cokehead in front of the whole class.
cobble, rob is like a random thought generator that churns out a lot that is very amusing, occasionally brilliant, and always unorthodox. Rob is one of the reasons I enjoy spending time on the OT.
Thanks again for all the info. I’ll use your real email if we have any more questions. I looked at Silk City’s location and it’s very close to where we’ll be going, so I’m going to try to check it out.

Ha.
“still doesn’t beat the host at “Diner” that time we went with the LV monogrammed blazer”
True enough, DH, but you don’t really think that blazer was real LV???

I have nothing against the New Yorker, I just thought the expression that rob came up with was very funny.
I do know few people who like to show off how much smarter they are than everyone else, and that expression fits them pretty well.
Slopey, awesome. I already have most of that down, based on your recommendations from yesterday. I appreciate all the suggestions.
