There was a letter to the editor in the Jamaica Gleaner online this week from a public official who said the country was “out of step with the world” in its largely hostile attitude toward gay people. It was good to see.

Maybe Trindad, I don’t know. Most Caribbean law – like US law is based on old English common law.
Trinidad has a large muslim population.
Do people in Jamaica actively shun homosexuals? Or is it just on paper?
