rf- my brother in law has used macs since the late 80’s. Anyone who says they never have problems should talk to him. Hold the phone away from your ear when he starts yelling. 🙂
DIBS- the only time I have been on the phone with tech support has been for a connectivity problem. I’ve used macs- yes they don’t have virus problems. Not because they are less vulnerable but because hackers don’t find them a big enough market share to write viruses for. Although there are several new ones beginning to float around these days.
Windows is a more complex program. Not only does it work with far more programs from 3rd parties, it does a multitude of tasks that Macs don’t. It literally throws information at you-and sometimes that’s overwhelming and confusing. One the other hand, that openness to other developers, and sharing of their code is what gave windows the advantage.
when I replace my current windows laptop, I’ll go replace it with another windows one. Macs are better but not better to the degree of the huge price diff
