  1. “It’s called a grass roots effort, jackal, which often prove highly successful, though I realize you’re far too uptight to ever participate in something so plebeian.”

    Snort!

  2. “It’s called a grass roots effort, jackal, ”

This has nothing to do with whether it is “grass roots” (way overused and not particularly meaningful term by the way). It has to do with the incredible vagueness of the goal.

It’s like a grass roots effort to get government to “be more connected with the people”. There could be petitions, protests…. everyone could march around with signs demanding that the government “be more connected to the people.” It doesn’t matter whether it’s grass roots, whatever that means, what matters is that the entire thing is pointlessly vague.

No, it’s because i don’t subscribe to most of society’s mores. I also don’t pander and placate and don’t walk around in a state of jejune puerility like most people in this city!

  4. (hee-haw!) Congrats on the kid! Also, see above for what you have to look forward to.

(hope the pukey one is doing better!)

But must close this browser – the motherinlaw coming to stay with us for a week, and I have GOT to try and clean something before I head out the airport.

  5. “I actually agree with Rob”

It’s funny that nobody ever simply says, “I agree with Rob”. There’s always a need to qualify it, as if it’s a surprise that one would ever agree with him. Is it the result of his history of typically outlandish posts?
