  1. “the letter to Obama is merely a vehicle through which a large number of people can express their support for gay marriage.”

And this is why liberals never accomplish anything.

If that were a letter in support of a conservative cause it would ask for the President to actually do something.

Maybe I’ll write a proper letter to the president in support of same sex marriage today. (I do support it, to be clear). He can use the celebrity letter to light a cigar and he can use mine as a roadmap to solving a real issue.

  2. “There’s nothing quite like taking a shower at 2 am to get the chunks of barf out of your chest hair.”

I’m having a more difficult time with the thought of sleeping with a man with chest hair.

  3. I just realized why I’m spoiling for a fight! I think there is a direct connection to my waking up at 2 am to the sound of a crying child, picking him up to confort him, and having him vomit all over me (nekkid, sorry if that’s TMI). There’s nothing quite like taking a shower at 2 am to get the chunks of barf out of your chest hair.

  4. jackal is just being contrarian as usual. He knows perfectly well that the letter to Obama is merely a vehicle through which a large number of people can express their support for gay marriage. It doesn’t really matter what the letter says. It could say: “Dear President Obama. I support gay marriage. You should, too.” Subtext: You want my vote, support my cause. jackal would have no problem at all if the letter, however simplistic, asked Obama to support the abolition of all restrictions on gun owners.
