“the motorola Xoom tablet is really nice – functionality, looks, processor speed,…. but then there’s only like 100 tablet apps on the android platform (vs. 35k apps on apple). that is what I’m talking about as far as stupidity.”
motorola xoom – aka – that thing that looks like an iPad
Scott, apple’s competition have shown me they are mad incompetent to close gap on apple. as a consumer, I dont like apple dominating mkt this much but I cant place a lot of faith into these shooting-self-in-foot competitors
Apple always claimed to be so more intuitive years ago, but I never understood why. The whole ‘smartest kids in the room” act is highly annoying.

My laptop is in transit; I mentioned this to my boss and he said, “Don’t you live near [famous restaurant]? you can use their wifi and save $50 bucks a month.”

Apple’s marketing, along with their relationship between marketing and product development, is nothing short of amazing.
I think that their closed policies (both technological and business) will catch up with them sooner or later, but they still have at least a few good years in front of them.

“I never thought of that,” I said.

yeah – apple is far from perfect and people do complain about them – but no one else has come along and taken the bull by the horns.
