If I bought one of those row houses in Queens, i’d let loose…I’d get the Fiberama porch and awings and I’d paint my steps and railings green, white and orange!!!!!!!
i used to walk to work when i lived on the LES and in chelsea. when i lived on the LES i used to go home and walk my dog on my lunch hour!!! i remember actually shedding tears when i moved to harlem and had to become a dirty lowly commuter 🙁
I’m not sure what it is about fish cakes and more importantly crab cakes. Why do so many restaurants make such bad crab cakes. I willl only order them at one place in PA now because UNLESS THEY USE LUMP CRAB MEAT, I don’t want a cake full of bread crumbs and stringy crab meat.
With their pad thai i always ask them to add extra sprouts. they seem to skimp on them for some reason.
I know they are Thai and not Fukinese or Vietnamese or Filipino so maybe that’s why they are overall pretty decent.

I’ve been to Joya on a weeknight. it was loud, crowded and the service was bad. I can’t remember how good or not the food was.
“There’s also cheaper houses and apartments but who wants to bother going there??????”
when people like dave say this – it’s probably a good time to move to queens!!
