11217, nice house but I just don’t get living in an all white house. I’d have to strip some woodwork, especially in the room with the wainscoting. I know a lot of people like it, but a bedroom with white walls, white ceiling, white woodwork, white furniture and white bedding is like living in a blizzard to me.
“Yes, Biff, everyone I know had a housekeeper. Her name was “Mom”. She had unwilling helpers who spent their Saturdays cleaning when they wanted to be doing other things. In our family, their names were “me” and “my brother.””
No wonder we’re friends- we grew up together. Except make that “me and my sister. 🙂
“Montrose, I agree with you. I just calculated what our housekeeper gets on an annualized basis. It’s over six figures pre-tax. I think that’s a fair wage.”
Throw in all the “lost” jewelry and money found in the couch and you’re putting their kids through college too.

“My brothers and sister still chuckle about my mom’s reason for making sure we put on fresh underwear every day.”
Benson, forget underwear, Mrs C won’t let the Champs wear the same shirt or pants more than once without washing them. Of course, being the one doing the laundry, I’m not exactly thrilled with that rule.

I’ve worn undershirts more than once, underwear, no. Socks, yes.
biff, her words. Quite a lot of stories about the 18 months we lived in the south.
Noki’s home is nicer than that.
