frsq, Lech….I’m not saying it is bad to cheer Osama bin Laden’s death. I just don’t feel it that way. He made me sick. The destruction that he caused was sickening and stupid, he was an evil motherfucker. He caused the deaths of so many other Americans in the war, he was insulting, he encouraged others into a vicious and stupid assault on the US and its allies. I am proud of the troups, especially the ones who had to keep being deployed, I am proud of Obama and the CIA and if anyone wants to dance at the WTC, go ahead. I just don’t feel it that way. It’s over, its done. Good.
I agree we need undeniable proof that he was killed – maybe they can provide some evidence on par with Obama’s birth records (and contemporaneous newspaper announcements) – no question that has silenced the doubters…..
Dona, yes my fave was the loft in the candy factory on Washington.
My friend and I also liked the wood frame on Vanderbilt with the glass wall overlooking the garden. We thought the same thing, how cool to wake up to a snowfall. We were talking to the homeowners, who said they just finished installing it, and have to wait until next winter to see the snow. I also liked how they kept the parlor floor in a period style, and made the ground floor modern. There was no detail left down there, according to the owners. My fave part of that house was the enclosed balcony, making a double windowed hallway to the kitchen. I would love to have that.
lechacal,
I would say normally that would be the best policy.
To make a statement and get back to business.
In this case however, where this criminal inspired so many to his cause, it seems that a larger presentation is required. Especially considering it took 10 years to get him.
There are revolutions going on as we speak in Egypt, Syria, Tunisia and big questions in Iraq and Afghanistan. I think this administration could sway a good many people by showing something undeniable, perhaps his personal notes or something unique if not photographic evidence.
There is still too much at stake for the Amdministration to play this one in a nuanced fashion.
Nice to see Obama didn’t opt for a trial with miranda rights for USB. The bullet that went through his head was certainly cheaper. As USB was nailed directly resulting from waterboarding the shiek in Gitmo (Thanks GW!), Obama needs to relook at his Army field manual executive order.

“I believe the administration will release undeniable proof, they’re probably still figuring out how best to do it”
